The BJP will attack the State Government over a host of issues during the Winter Session of the Assembly which began on Friday.
Addressing mediapersons on Friday after the BJP Legislature Party meeting presided over by floor leader KV Singh Deo, MLA Rabi Naik said his party would raise several pertinent issues to corner the ruling BJD in the Assembly such as farmers problems, drought, Chakada pest attack, non-fulfilment of promises made to sharecroppers, mishandling of lawyers’ stir over High Court Bench in western Odisha, Brahma Paribartan fiasco, Ratna Bhandar key missing, PC, mismanagement of Cyclone Titli, false promises over Ama Gaon, Ama Bikash scheme, hooliganism by the Biju Yuba Bahini, questionable effectiveness of the Biju Swathya Kalyan Yojana, sidelining of the Odia entrepreneurs in the Make in Odisha Conclave and rising unemployment, etc.
“Most hospitals of the State are facing doctor shortage. Due to lack of ambulance, women are delivering on streets. Bodies are carried on shoulders due to non-availability of Mahaprayan vehicles. Despite all this, the State Government is not implementimng Ayushman Bharat Yojana of the Central Government for vested interest. Crores of rupees have been bungled in power distribution company Cesu, while many genuine beneficiaries were deprived of benefits under the NFSA.
Elephants and tiger tolls are rising, women and children are not secure and cases of rape of minors are mounting up. The BJP will turn the heat on the Government over all the issues,” said Naik.
Among others, MLAs Govinda Das, Nitish Ganga Deb and Radharani Panda were present.
