A BJP leaders’ team led by MLAs Rabi Naik and Pradeep Purohit would visit Cyclone Title and subsequent floods-affected areas on Tuesday in order to assess damages and inspect relief works, informed party spokesperson Golak Prasad Mohapatra here on Monday.
“Many people died and huge properties lost due to the cyclone and subsequent floods on Ganjam and Gajapati districts. The State Government didn’t admit the losses initially. However, it admitted later as the BJP brought them to the fore. Now, massive irregularities in relief distribution have been alleged. The State Government pre-closed the Assembly in fear of a discussion on the issue, which was scheduled to be raised by the BJP,” alleged Mohapatra.
