BJP submits memo for Sainik School at B'pur

Published on:

The Ganjam District BJP submitted a comprehensive memorandum to the Union Minister for Defence through Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi urging to establish a Sanik School at Brahmapur. Even though Ganjam is the most populous district in the State and CM Naveen Patnaik represents the district to the Odisha Assembly, the district has been grossly neglected under the BJD rule, the memorandum said.

Mention may be made that, Union Finance Minister in her recent budget address in  Parliament had declared Union Government’s proposal for establishment of 100 Sanik Schools in country which created a ray of hope in minds of people of Ganjam district for establishment of a Sanik School in Brahmapur. Besides, a large military establishment like Army Defense College is functioning in village Golabandha which is close to Brahmapur and establishment of a Sanik School would certainly help not only to students of Ganjam district, but also children of Army and Defence personnel.

The city is strategically located on  side of NH with good infrastructure in field of communication having effective rail link.
