BJP Odisha Prabhari (in-charge) Sunil Bansal arrived at the airport here on Monday to a rousing reception by party cadres. This is Bansal’s maiden visit to the State after being appointed as the Prabahri.
BJP State president Samir Mohanty and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and many other party members welcomed Bansal, who went straight to the party State headquarters.
Bansal had a meeting with senior leaders about the party’s affairs. He would hold separate meetings with party MLAs, Parliamentarians and other leaders during his two-day visit. He is set to review the organisational activities and plan 2024 election strategies with inputs from senior State leaders.
His visit assumes significance as it is hoped that he would boost the State BJP’s fortunes after the drubbing it received in the last panchayat and urban polls.
