As a two-day State Executive meeting the BJP is beginning here on Saturday, the entire town of Baripada is now draped in party flags and banners. The party workers here are in an upbeat mood.
The local Sahid Smruti Bhavan has been made fully ready to hold the important meeting, where 288 State executive body members of the saffron party are likely to take part. Some of these party stalwarts have already arrived at the second Srikhsetra town of Baripada. Hotels, lodges and inspection bunglows are now kept reserved for these leaders who are coming here to attend the meeting from different parts of the State.
According to BJP sources, the party, in its all-important two-day meet, will have brain-storming sessions in which the delegates will deliberate upon the modus operandi to implement what was recently decided in the Bhubanewar meet of the party. The party will also reflect upon the emerging political situation in Odisha. National leaders Arun Singh and Saudan Siingh, Union Ministers Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, apart from the State president Basant Panda and other senior leaders are expected to arrive here on Saturday morning.
It being the first ever State executive meeting of the party at Baripada, the local BJP unit is leaving no stone unturned to see that it passes off smoothly and successfully.
