The whole organisational polls of the Odisha unit of the BJP, including unanimous elections of the State president, district presidents and council member posts, would be completed by the second week of January.
BJP national secretary and Odisha-in-charge Arun Singh said the State president, district presidents and members of the State council would be elected on consensus. Singh said this at the executive meeting of the party held here on Sunday.
The party’s joint general secretary Saudan Singh was present.
The party condoled the deaths of Siddheswari Sarangi, mother of State vice-president Pratap Sarngi and former Umarkote MlA Gurubaru Majhi on this occasion.
Among others, State president KV Singh Deo, national secretary Suresh Pujari and national executive members Bishwabhushan Harichandan and Bijay Mohapatra were present.
