like the Odisha Knowledge Corporation and Odisha Telecom Corporation, the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) will yield no result, said BJP spokesperson Dilip Mohanty here on Wednesday.
Mohanty was skeptical about the claim of the Government of providing jobs to 11 lakh youths through OSDA. More curiously, while the Chairman of the OSDA Subroto Bagchi has been given the rank of a Cabinet Minister, the IT Minister is in the State rank, he said.
He alleged that the Odisha Knowledge Corporation was constituted in 2012 when the State Government claimed to provide jobs to 10 lakh unemployed youths. What is found now is it has only distributed some certificates on courses which are not recognised by any Government council or university and that too by taking `3,000 from each aspirant.
Similarly, Mohanty said the Odisha Telecom Corporation was constituted in 2016 and Sam Pitroda was invited to head it. Pitroda was given the rank of a Cabinet Minister too.
It was promised that the corporation would reach telecom services to every nook and corner and thereby create many jobs for the unemployed. However, Pitroda never returned Odisha ever since.
