Terming former Sambalpur MlA Jayanarayan Mishra’s arrest as illegal, a team of the BJP Panposh district organisation led by president Dhiren Senapati on Wednesday submitted a memorandum in favour of Governor Dr SC Jamir to the Rourkela ADM demanding immediate transfer of Sambalpur district Collector and SP for ‘neglect in duty’.
They also condemned the restriction imposed by the district administration on carrying of swords and other weapons in the procession on Hanuman Jayanti. “This decision of the district administration has hurt the sentiments of people. It has tarnished the fundamental rights of people. The arrest of Mishra is illegal,” said Senapati.
