In a sharp reaction to Artha Tatwa chit fund company CMD Pradeep Sethy’s changed statement vis-à-vis Pajero SUV gift to Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma, the BJP on Tuesdaydemanded that a lie detection test be conducted on Sethy to unravel the truth.
Besides, the party wanted that an investigation be conducted as to who met Sethy in the jail between the day he first revealed about the Pajero gift to Dasburama and the day he changed his statement that “He (Dasburam) is innocent and the Pajero issue is the biggest joke of the year”.
“It is suspected that Sethy changed his statement under influence, and the role of Dasburama and the State Government can’t be ruled out. Hence, a lie detection test should be conducted on Sethy and an investigation be held to know who influenced him to change his earlier statement,” demanded BJP State spokesperson Sajjan Sharma.
Sharma too reiterated the demand of Dasburma’s ouster from the Ministry to facilitate a fair probe into the issue.
He said Balaipanda PS IIC Manoj Panda is brother-in-law of Sethy. Panda has been brought to Baliapanda to influence Sethy to change his mind. Has is acting as a mediator for Dasburam, Sharma alleged further.
