Ahead of party national president Amit Shah’s two-day visit to the State, the BJP State unit here on Sunday rolled out three Prachar Raths, which will move to areas of the three Assembly constituencies of Bhubaneswar urging people to attend the public meeting of Shah.
Displaying posters of the party’s ‘Mahasangram’ campaign, which seeks to dethrone the ruling BJD by highlighting the series of mega scams it is involved in, the Prachar Raths were flagged off by State party organising secretary Prasanna Mishra in the presence of senior leader Sameer Mohanty, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma and others.
“The three Prachar Raths will wind their way through the three Assembly constituencies in the capital and urge people to attend Amitji’s Maha Jan Samavesh’ at the ground behind the Capital Hospital in Unit VI on Tuesday in large numbers,” Mohanty said. “We expect about two lakh people to join the meeting and listen to the speech of Amitji and support the Mahasangram campaign. We are confident that it would be a grand success,” he said.
