The BJP on Monday raised questions on State Planning Board Vice-Chairman Sanjay Dasburma’s use of a helicopter to fly from Nabarangpur to Bhubaneswar on July 18.
BJP State vice-president Balabadra Majhi said that though the State Government has announced several austerity measures due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Dashburma’s chopper ride cost the people of the State about Rs 6 lakh to Rs 7 lakh.
The car, by which Dasburma had gone to Nabarangpur, returned empty. Had he returned by the car, it would have taken maximum ten hours to reach the State capital. Majhi questioned what emergency situation led to Dasburma to use a chopper.
