Several BJP workers led by Jeypore Town party president Baidyanath Mishra on Friday held a protest rally against the State Government’s decision to increase the prices of diesel and petrol by imposing an additional three-per cent VAT on these products.
An effigy of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was cremated. The protesters demanded an immediate rollback in the Government’s decision and submitted a memorandum in this regard to Governor SC Jamir through the Jeypore Sub-Collector.
