BJP protests against Bengal violence

In response to a nationwide protest call by BJP president JP Nadda against the violence allegedly unleashed by the TMC against BJP workers, Odisha’s senior BJP leaders including State president Samir Mohanty, sat in fast and dharna in their homes on Wednesday.

The protest and dharna were organised across the State in all districts, Mandals where party’s MPs, MlAs and other elected representatives and office-bearers participated in the programme.

The leaders alleged that the TMC after returning to power again has unleashed targeted violence against BJP workers only to silence the critics. TMC cadres are in fact implementing their election slogan ‘Khela Hobe’.

“This protest is against the violence which has no place in democratic system. We stand strongly like rock with our party cadres in West Bengal, who are facing threat by TMC goons,” said Samir Mohanty.
