Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM) treasurer Dr Sarat Mishra and BJP leader Antarjami Gamang on Tuesday joined the BJD at the party headquarters here in the presence of party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
While Mishra had earlier been declared as the OJM’s party candidate for the Bhubaneswar North Assembly constituency, Gamang was the president of the BJP’s Jan Jati Morcha. Mishra chose to walk out of the OJM after the party issued a Press release on Monday night announcing withdrawal of his candidature and accusing him of being ‘untrustworthy’. He had been removed from the post of treasurer three days earlier, the OJM release added.
