BJP nominee for Talcher Assembly seat Kalandi Samal filed his nominations here on Saturday amid hundreds of supporters. He submitted his papers to sub-collector -cum -electoral officer Saroj Samal.
The BJP workers and supporters wearing BJP caps came in a rally chanting various slogans to welcome Samal. In 2009 elections, Samal was also the BJP nominee here.
At the time of nomination, Rajya Sabha MP Dharmendra Pradhan, advocate Peskar Gadanayak, Jajati Pattanaik, Prakash Moharana, former Talcher Municipality chairperson Jyosna Dalei and Suphala Prusty were present. Independent candidate Chittaranjan Pradhan also filed his nominations on the day.
