The BJP on Tuesday alleged that senior BJD leader and Panchayati Raj Minister Arun Sahu has violated Model Sode of Conduct enforced for the October 15 Kandhamal lok Sabha by-poll by adopting illegal practices to woo voters.
Party’s State unit spokesperson Sameer Mohanty submitted a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer in this regard. The memorandum alleged that the Minister with the help of some police personnel influenced voters near Khamarsahi in Kandhamal district, and, thus violated the poll code.
It demanded immediate action against the Minister and other senior BJD party leaders for “adopting illegal methods” to woo voters.
