The BJP on Saturday moved the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) against demolition of its hoardings and banners from different places in the twin cities by the BMC and the BMC and sought his early intervention in the matter.
“The State Government is using the BMC and the CMC machineries for the BJD’s political interest. The BJP hoardings were erected with party funds. This move is very disappointing. Kindly take it seriously and ask the urban bodies to refund the hoarding prices to the party,” a team led by vice-president Samir Mohanty urged the CEO.
They too urged the CEO to ask the CMC and the BMC to reinstall the hoardings.
Among others, party’s State executive member Jagannath Pradhan, BJYM president Tankadhar Tripathy, election cell member Jayant Jena, Satyabrat Nayak, Bishwaranjan Pattnaik, Bijay Sinjgh, Panchanan Nayak and Deepak Gochhayat were present.
