The Mayurbhanj district unit of BJP OBC Morcha on Wednesday demanded setting up of an OBC Commission at the State level.
They said the Patnaik-led BJD Government was neglecting the OBCs and their problems in Odisha and urged the Government to form the commission on lines of one set up by the BJP Govt at the Centre.
In support of their demands, the Morcha workers, led by their district president Atosh Sahu, held a demonstration in front of the Collectorate here and then handed over to Deputy Collector Sangeeta Sahu, a memorandum written to the State Governor to this effect.
Morcha State vice-president Jnana Ranjan Jena, State executive member Mahaendra Das and BJP district vice-president Subas Pradhan were among others who led the agitation.
