The BJP, Ganjam district held a meeting to mark the launching of membership here under the chairmanship of its president Kanhu Charan Pati on Saturday.
The meeting was held in the wake of Prime Minster Narendra Modi inaugurating the drive at nation level in New Delhi.
“People have elected Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the second consecutive time. While the BJP’s popularity has increased, various Central schemes have been successful,” informed State Membership Drive chief Anant Nayak through a telephonic conferencing.
To undertake the drive in a big way in Ganjam district, Bhrugu Baxipatra has been appointed as district “Prabhari”, Rajesh Sahu as coordinator and Manoranjan Dyansamtra and Madan Mohan Patro as co-coordinators.
The party’s district functionaries and Mandal president will provide
supports. The membership drive would continue till August 11, 2019.
Among others, Namita Rani Panda, Gopinath Panda, Rabindra Sahu, Pravat Kumar Sadangi, Sunil Sahu, Dr Amulya Choudhury, Ganjam block Chairman Prasant Nayak, Saroj Sabat, Subasini Patnai, Rama Kumar Patra were present.
