The Nimapara-Gop BJP unit held public meetings were organised at Balanga and Gop on Tuesday to highlight different local issues which were attended by BJP State Mahila Morcha president Pravati Parida.
Party leaders pointed out that Balanga is supplying vegetables to most parts of the State and also out of the State. So, a cold storage should be established by the State Government in the area. They also demanded declaration of Balanga as a block. They too protested against corruption in execution of the Awas Yojanas in Nimapara block.
BJP Puri president Pravanjan Mohapatra, Dhanurdhar Das, Prasanna Dash, AjayMishra, Manas Pradhan, Vijay Panda, among others, were present.
In Gop, the BJP leaders protested against undeclared power cuts, poor health service and recruitment of a permanent BDO and demanded waiver of agricultural loan Besides Pravati Parida, Gop Sarpanch Susanta Swain, the BJP block president and many other leaders were present.
