A day before the scheduled two-day BJP national executive meeting to begin at the Janata Maidan here, the BJP on Friday renamed the Maidan as the Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi ground for its meeting.
The party too proposed that the ground be permanently renamed as Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi ground in honour of the legendary poet.
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister said this while inaugurating the media cell for the executive meeting here.
Informing about scheduled visit of the Prime Minister, Pradhan said all national executive members of the party, excepting External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, would visit Odisha to attend the meeting. Swaraj would not be able to come to Bhubaneswar due to health problems, he said.
Pradhan informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi would arrive at the city airport by 3.30 pmon Saturday on a two-day visit. From the airport, the Prime Minister would go straight to the Governor’s House. Then he would reach the Janata Maidan by 5 pm to attend the BJP’s national executive meeting.
