Mahanga BJP leader Sharada Pradhan on Friday demanded that Law Minister Pratap Jena be ousted from the Council of Ministers in view of his statement that the High Court order on Odisha migrant workers’ Covid-19 test and return was yet to reach the State Government.
“The Orissa High Court on Thursday ordered that the Odisha migrant workers stranded in other States will be allowed to come back home only after they test negative for the coronaviurs. The State Government has already taken steps on the basis of the order. However, the Law Minister says the Government has not received the order. This shows how irresponsible he is on a very sensible matter. The Chief Minister should oust him from the Council of Ministers forthwith,” demanded Pradhan.
