Senior Odisha BJP leader Subash Chauhan on Tuesday met Union Steel, Mines and labour Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi and demanded setting up of a 100 bedded ESIC hospital at Padampur sub-division of Bargarh district.
“The ESIC in Padmapur will address the healthcare need of the local labourers engaged in agriculture, Bidi industry, constructions sector etc. Since there is no visible health care facility available in the location, the ESIC hospital will be of much benefit,” Chauhan apprised the Union Minister.
He also urged the Minister to visit Jharsuguda to inaugurate the ESIC hospital, which is ready for functioning since 2011. “Functioning of the hospital at Jharsuguda will benefit the industrial workers of the region,” Chauhan said the Union Minister. Chauhan also called on Union Minister (MoS) Steel, Mines and labour Vishnu Deo Sai.
