BJP Janakalyan Yatra from today

To garner people’s support for the upcoming panchayat polls, the State unit of the BJP will begin its scheduled Janakalyan Yatra on Thursday.

The yatra, to be led by party’s State president Basanta Panda, is intended to inform people about various welfare programmes undertaken by the Narenda Modi Government at the Centre and failures of the Naveen Patnaik Government in areas like education, health, NFSA card distribution and employment generation.

The yatra would start from Chandahandi town of Nabarangpur district and cover 17 of BJP organisational districts. It would culminate at Keonjhar on April 24, said party’s general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan.

Harichandan said this at a Press conference held here on the occasion of its foundation day on Wednesday.

The party also celebrated the day at 25 organisational district offices, he informed.
