The BJP’s Jan Adalat (people’s court) was held here on Monday to make people aware of the alleged scams and irregularities committed in different sectors during the last 19 years of the Naveen Patnaik Government.
A court atmosphere was created where eminent educationist Ramesh Chandra Tripathy presided over as the judge.
People attending the programme brought allegations against Brahmapur MP Siddhant Mohapatra, Brahmapur MLA Dr Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, Digapahandi MLA and Minister Surjya Narayan Patro, Chikitti MLA and Minister Usha Devi, Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi, Chhatrapur MLA Dr Priyanshu Pradhan and Paralakhemundi MLA K Surya Rao.
The judge conducted a hearing and delivered his verdict.
Lawyer Sisir Padhy, BJP State secretary Bibhuti Jena, district president Kanhu Charan Pati and State executive member Saroj Sabat, among others, lodged their complaints before the judge.
