The BJP Krushask Morcha on Friday organised a demonstration here protesting farmer’s suicide and said the Naveen Patnaik Government has crossed all limits of insensitiveness towards farmers.
“As many as five farmers have committed suicide due to crop loss in pest attack in Bargarh district during the last seven days. The situation is worsening as the State Government is not taking any measures,” alleged Morcha State general secretary Surath Biswal.
He said Brunda Sahoo suicide case is the reflection of the ruling party’s sensitiveness toward safety of farmers in the State. All farmers have lost faith on the Naveen Patnaik government, he said.
The rally led by Biswal was attended by BJP State secretary Dillip Mallick, Morcha vice-president Hrushikesh Jena, general secretary Rabinarayan Mohapatra, secretary Sriranjan Mangaraj, Dillip Swain, Saroj Sahoo, Kurshna Barat, Yuva Morcha vice-president Thakur Ranjit Dash and Bhubaneswar district president Harekrushna Khuntia.
