A massive demonstration was organised by the district BJP unit here at the Collectorate on Thursday. The agitators besides targeting the State Government on several issues, including chit fund scam, demanded ouster of Justice MM Das heading the chit fund probe panel and Minister Sanjay Dasburma.
They demanded steps to address the drinking water crisis and action against all those involved in NFSA scam and toilet construction irregularities under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
The meeting was presided over by district BJP president Madan Mohan Dutta. Several senior leaders including Remuna MlA Gobinda Das, former MlA Pratap Sarangi, Kalyan Ray Mahasay, Shyama Prasad Behera, Susama Biswal, Sobhana Mohanty, Paresh Nayak and Arun Bej lambasted the Naveen Patnaik Government for maladministration and corruption.
