The 42nd foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was celebrated here in Paradip on Wednesday. BJP State SC cell president and former MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai and Paradip BJP leader Sampad Swain were present at the function and unfurled of the party flag.
Among others, BJP leader Gautam Nayak, Sarbeswar Baliyarsingh, Councillor Subrat Pradhan, Pratap Nayak and Runi Parida were present.
Senior BJP founder leaders Piyusdev Kanti Barman, Kailash Chandra Swain and Sasanka Sekhar Acharya were felicitated for their contributions to the formation of party organisation in the Paradip region. Besides, the newly elected councillors including all councillor candidates of the party participated were felicitated.
The party workers took oaths to strengthen the BJP organisation at the grassroots level in Paradip in the coming days.
The function was presided over by Paradip BJP president Subrat Pradhan and coordinated by BJP activists Bhabendra Dash, Sarbeswar Jena, Manoj Nayak, Arjila Shiva, Bajrang Swain and Prafulla Parija.
