The Jagatsinghpur district BJP unit on Friday burnt an effigy of Congress Rajya Sabha member Ranjib Biswal and lodged an FIR against him at the police station here accusing him of having made anti-saffron remarks at the district Congress meeting held here on Wednesday.
BJP district president Satya Brata Mohapatra said that political parties have liberty criticising their opponent political leaders in constructive manners, but Biswal skipped his limitation while delivering his speech at the Congress party congregation.
He alleged that the MP had made derogatory remarks against local BJP leaders’ characters and personal behaviours.
