The duration of the BJP’s ongoing membership drive in the State has extended to April 30. This was informed by Rajya Sadasyata Prabhari (Odisha-in-charge of membership drive) Ranjan Kumar Patel. He also said the State unit has now 30 lakh members in its fold. The extended membership drive would bring several others to the party fold, said a Press release issued by the party office here on Tuesday. In fact, according to observers, the BJP’s membership efforts have suffered a setback due to lack of enthusiasm among the party’s rank and file in view of the party high command’s hobnobbing with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
