The BJP activists on Monday staged a demonstration and protest meeting in front of Mahakalapada block office demanding to review of ration cards provided under National Food Security Act (NFSA).
They demanded ration card to all eligible persons, coming under the prescribed criteria of NFSA and withdrawal of the ones given to the ineligible persons.
Besides, they demanded a thorough inquiry on the distribution of IAY and Biju Pacca houses and action against those beneficiaries against whom more than one pucca houses have been allotted and take action against those persons who were taking bribe for providing latrine under Swachha Bharat Abhijan.
The BJP activists addressing in the meeting alleged that due to unholy nexus of the block level ruling political party leaders and the block administration, the poverty stricken persons have failed to avail the benefits provided by the Central Government sponsored projects due to corruption.
later, the BJP activists provided a memorandum to the block authority to fax it to the Governor.
