Many BJP national functionaries, during their stay for the two-day national executive meeting at Bhubaneswar, came to Puri and offered prayers to lord Jagannath, lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in the Shreemandir here on Saturday and Sunday.
They include Union Ministers Rabishankar Prasad and Bijay Sampal, Maharastra Chief Minister Debendra Fadnavis, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Bhai Patel and his UP counterpart KP Mourya and Madhya Pradesh former CM Babul Gowda.
Tight security arrangements were made to ensure hassle-free Darshan of the deities for the dignitaries. District Magistrate Arabind Agarwal and SP Sarthak Sarangi oversaw the arrangements.
