Senior BJP leader Biswa Bhusan Harichandan on Saturday decried the State Government and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) lack of foresight for the waterlogging in the capital caused due to the torrential downpours for four consecutive days like many other parts of the State.
Harichandan, who visited various waterlogged areas in the city, said, “It is very unfortunate that the capital city has been experiencing waterlogging problem since past few years.
The situation of Bhubaneswar is not less than the flood situation in Ganjam and Baleswar districts. Even in many areas people are confined to their houses since last five days as five-feet rainwater is flowing in front of their houses.”
