The State BJP Mahila Morcha on Wednesday said the party would organise a massive padyatra from December 20 from Bhubaneswar and hold awareness campaigns in all 147 Assembly constituencies demanding justice for all missing children of State, including five-year-old Pari of Nayagarh. Mahila Morcha chairperson Smruti Patnaik said State Government had failed to ensure safety of women and minors. Now they are failing to protect girls. In last two years, 4,000 children have gone missing in the State. Due to negligence of police, the missing victims’ families are failing to get justice.
Patnaik alleged that Government is shielding accused in these cases. The Chief Minister did not take any action against Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo, whose audio on Pari murder case got viral. If Government is sincere in providing justice to Pari, then it should order a CBI inquiry into the case and dismiss Sahoo from State Cabinet, she demanded.
