BJP’s ‘120+ Mission Odisha’ ridiculed

Published on:

The BJP’s “Mission Odisha 120+”, as envisioned by party president Amit Shah to capture more than 120 seats in the 147-member State Assembly in the 2019 elections now ridiculed in the BJD and Congress circles in the wake of the saffron party’s setback in the Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh polls.

BJD leaders repeated their earlier taunt that the BJP’s assertion about 120 seats would maximum end with the ‘0’ from the end (that is 12) or the ‘1’ from the beginning (that is 20).

A BJD leader mocked at the BJP pointing out the recent result of the Bijatala Zilla Parishad Zone by-poll election, in which the BJD wrested the seat from the BJP by a huge margin of votes.

A pall of gloom descended on the BJP camps across Odisha following election outcomes from the three party-ruled States on the day.
