BJP State president Basant Panda on Monday announced various programmes to create awareness against failures and scams of the Naveen Patnaik Government and gather people’s support in favour of the “pro-people and welfare schemes” of the Narendra Modi Government.

Addressing a Press conference here, Panda said a memorandum with signature of one crore people seeking implementation of the Ayushman Bharat programme in the State would be submitted to the President of India through the Governor before Dussehra.

Party activists would hold demonstrations and gherao all block offices from October 27 to 30 in protest agaisnt the “Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana”.

“The Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana is meant to promote PC (percentage) only.  Work orders are being provided to BJD workers without tenders in an aim to collect funds for the ruling party,” he alleged.

Alleging that the Government machinery is being used to provide rice to BJD workers in the name of State’s own food security scheme, Panda said party activists would oppose non-publication of beneficiaries list and absence of provision of grievance hearing.

A “Janajagaran Padayatra” would be taken from November 1 to 30 to make people know all failures of the BJD Government at block, GP, booth and ward levels. Similarly, a massive “Paribartan Yatra” would be taken out from December 1 to 30 during which national and State-level party leaders would participate, he informed.
