The BJP Bhubaneswar district unit on Monday took out a rally and staged a demonstration near the Naveen Niwas under its “Halla Bol” in protest against “no action” against the “main conspirator” in the Mamita murder case Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra.
The rally was stopped by police at Sishu Bhawan Square while proceeding towards the Naveen Niwas. The party workers confronted with police, as a result of which many women workers were injured, a party statement said.
Party leaders alleged that crimes against women and children are on the rise in the State, but the Government has turned deaf and dumb. The demonstration was led by BJP district president Babu Singh and Harekrushna khuntia.
