The Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) on Thursday said the ruling Biju Janat Dal’s (BJD) observance of Hartal on Friday is nothing other than doing politics to gain votes.
The party’s State committee called upon people to be careful about the “hypocritical attitude” of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the BJD and the Congress in the State.
The party said the Congress at the Centre and the BJD at the State are helping corporate houses loot the State’s natural resources like water, land and forests.
Both the Governments are suppressing the voice of people who protest against their wrongdoings. They are dominating the society.
“The State is still in precarious condition after 66 years of Independence of the country due to anti-people policies of different Governments ruled in the country as well as in the State,” said party executive body member Uddhab Jena.
