Badachana BJD leader Amar Nayak and thousands of ruling party workers joined the BJP at a public meeting held during Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s visit to Jajpur district on Monday.
Pradhan welcomed Nayak, many elected representatives and former sarpanches, ZP members and block chairpersons and their supporters to the saffron party at a meeting held at Chandikhole.
“We, by dint of hard work, can overthrow the present inert and inefficient State Government and make Odisha into a development State. We, from leaders to grassroots workers, must work hard to see smiles on the faces of women, Dalits, Adivasis and youths for coming two years,” Pradhan told the gathering.
He alleged that people of Odisha are being deprived of getting fruits of welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre due to ineffectiveness of the State Government. When asked to comment of the reshuffle in Naveen Patnaik-led Council of Ministers, Pradhand said, “Naveen Patnaik’s new Ministry is like old drug in a new bottle.”
