Strongly protesting the hike of price of petrol and diesel, the Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BJYD) would stage dharna in all district headquarters on Friday.

BJYD leaders told a Press conference here on Thursday that protests would also be held in front of the Raj Bhawan and a memorandum would be submitted to the Governor.

The fuel price hike would worsen the plight of common people as it is directly related to the price of the daily essential items, said BJYD president and Minister Sanjay Dasburma.

The party members demanded that the Central Government roll back the price hike immediately.

Ministers Ashok Chandra Panda and Pranab Prakash Dash, MlA Priyadarshi Mishra and BMC Mayor Anant Narayan Jena were present at the Press meet.
