The BJD would begin a Yuba-Chhatra Sampark Abhiyan (Youth-student relation campaign) in all 147 Assembly constituencies from November 18 in order to make youths and students know about various Government schemes initiated for them by the State Government.

Biju Yuva Janata Dal chief Amaresh Patri and Biju Chhatra Janata Das president Ranapratap Patra informed this at a Press conference here on Thursday.

They said the Abhiyan would begin in three districts, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Bargarh in the first phase.

Besides, youths and students would be informed about the Union Government’s ‘anti-Odisha’ stands on Polavaram and Mahanadi issues, apathetic attitude in conferring Special Category State status and increase in prices of petrol and lPG gas, they said.

Young achievers in various fields would be involved and social media would be extensively used for promoting the campaign, they said.
