BJD seeks Srikant, Jayadev's resignation

Biju Yuba Janata Dal (BJYD) general secretary Bijay Nayak on Saturday demanded resignation of Union Minister Srikant Jena and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Jayadev Jena from their posts in view of the Central neglect to Odisha.

“Phailin and floods ravaged the State extensively. Even after 29 days of the calamities, neither the Prime Minister nor the United Progressive Alliance UPA chairperson visited the State. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief and Union Minister Jena are defending the Centre only for  political reason,” said Nayak.   He also expressed his gratitude to the Governor for writing a letter to Prime Minister  Manmohan Singh urging the latter for immediate sanction of Central assistance.
