Youth and student activists of the BJD staged a rally here on Sunday protesting the ‘false’ allegations made by Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain against the State Government during his visit to the city on Saturday.
“The Minister expressed regrets before reporters for not answering to their questions as to for which projects the State Government has not provided land and the number of project going on in Oidha and funds allocated for them. It all indicates that BJP leaders prompt the visiting Ministers here to make false charges against the Naveen Patnaik Government. While public money is being spent for the Minister’s visits, the BJP is using them to satiate their own agenda,” alleged BJD general sectary Sanjay Dasburma, youth wing president Amaresh Patra and student wing president Ranapratap Patra in a joint statement.
Over a thousand activists moved in a bike rally from the BJD office to Master Canteen Square and staged a protest meeting there.
Among others, BYJD secretary general Sisir Parida, advisor Kunabihari Das, Sunil Pradhan, Amaresh Jena, Bhubaneswar district working president Babu Singh were present.
