After Bhubaneswar MP Aparijita Sarangi on Thursday took a jibe at the State Government over the implementation of its 5T model, the BJD in its reaction termed her statement as unfortunate.
BJD spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra said Sarangi’s statement is highly unfortunate. Being a former bureaucrat if she had learned about the 5T concept during her IAS training in Mussoorie, why did not she implement it during her tenure as a bureaucrat in Odisha, Patra questioned.
“She should not be in dilemma that 5T is a not department but a charter,” Patra added.
BJD leader Arup Patnaik, a former IPS officer, said, “As far as I know about the IPS ad IAS training, we were taught only parade (left-right-left) and not about 5T or handling people and situations. I think she (Aparajita) might have undergone a special training for 5T concept. She can scrap the 5T model when she becomes the Chief Minister, but right now every Minister, MLA or MP is a servant,” Patnaik derided.
