After holding a mega Chasi Samavesh at Sohela in Baragarh district on Thursday to woo farmers in its favour, the ruling BJD is now all set to organise a huge Chhatra Samavesh (students’ rally) in Bhubaneswar on November 23 as part of its efforts to make all sections of people aware about the development projects launched by the State Government.
The rally would be addressed by BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other senior leaders of the party, including Ministers, MPs and MlAs, said Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) president and MlA Byomakesh Ray to reporters here on Friday.
More than 20,000 student representatives from all over the State would attend the rally. A photo exhibition would also be organised at the venue at the Rastra Bhasa Sangram Samiti field which would display rare photographs of legendary Biju Patnaik and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Ray said.
like last year, he said, the addresses at the rally can be accessed online from the official website of the BJD www.bjdodisha.org.in.
Ray said the State Government has taken several measures to improve the education sector in Odisha. The steps taken by the Government would be the focus of discussion at the rally, he added.
