As was buzz, BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced names of Arkesh Singh Deo for Balangir Assembly seat and Dr Raseshwari Panigrahi and Rohit Pujari for their respective old seats, Sambalpur and Redhakhol.
Patnaik announced names of a total of nine Assembly seats of which six will go to polls in the first and second phases of elections on April 11 and 18.
The other candidates are: Pattangi- Pritam Padhi, Lanjigarh- Pradeep Kumar Dishari, Jharigam- Prakash Chandra Majhi, Malkangiri- Kukund Sodi, Loisinga- Pradeep Behera and Brajarajnagar- Kishore Mohanty.
It may be noted that there is only one day left for filing of nominations for the first-phase polls on March 25 and two days for filing of papers for the second phase elections on March 26.
