The names of father and two brothers of Binjharapur MlA and former Minister Pramila Mallick and that of Binjharapur Block Chairman Naba KIshor Samal have been found in the list of beneficiaries under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), for which the district
administration ordered an inquiry on Friday.
The job card number of Paban Mallick, the father Pramila Mallick, is 22504. Both the sons of Paban Mallick are shown to have worked as daily labourers and received wages since 2015.
“We today demanded that the district administration take action against the persons who were involved in this scam, said Jajpur district BJP leader Goutam Ray.
When contacted, Jajpur district Collector Ranjan Kumar Das said, “After knowing about the allegations, the district administration has already started investigation. We will take necessary action against the persons and officials who are involved in this fraud.”
