Sitting BJD MlA from Gunupur in Koraput district Ramamurty Mutika resigned from the party on Tuesday after being denied party ticket to seek reelection from the seat.
BJD president Naveen Patnaik earlier in the day announced the name of Trinath Gamang as the party candidate for the Gunupur constituency. Mutika said he would be joining the BJP and contesting from the Gunupur.
