The BJP Yuva Morcha on Monday urged the State Vigilance to inquire into the alleged graft demand of Rs4.5 crore by Chitrakonda BJD MlA Dambarudhar Sirsa from a private energy company on the promise of getting its work done from the Chief Minister.

“Recently, a local TV channel conducted an audio sting operation on MlA Dambarudhar Sirsa and had broadcasted the same on its channel. The audio showed Sirsa asking for a bribe of Rs4.5 crore and his willingness to accept its delivery at his home in Bhubaneswar. He has also admitted to have taken bribes in many previous deals up to the tune of 5to 6 per cent of the work cost,” BJYM State president Umkant Patnaik and others informed this in a letter to the Vigilance SP, Bhubanewar.

They too informed the SP that Sirsa has also offered to negotiate with certain organisations on behalf of the company which is contrary to the interest of both the State and the country.

They urged the SP take the complaint seriously and initiate immediate action against Sirsa at the earliest.

In a separate statement, Patnaik, BJYM working member Sisir Gamang, Sudarsan Biswal, Prasant Swain and Sangram Keshari Nayak also alleged that Sirsa has promised the company to protect it from Maoists on monthly fee of Rs6 lakh.
