Ahead of the elections, BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik lifted the expulsion order on former Minister and former Sukinda MLA Prafulla Chandra Ghadai on Monday.
Party State secretary BJD Nayak informed this in a statement.
Notably, Patnaik had expelled Ghadai in September 2014 for his alleged anti-party activities. However, Ghadai had been claiming at different public forums that he was still in the BJD and praising the developmental programmes of the Naveen Patnaik Government.
Ghadai’s son Pritiranjan Ghadai is now representing Sukinda in the Assembly
